Ordering

At the time of your order I shall measure you, take a 50% deposit and put your name and other information in the order book.

Upon receipt of your deposit I shall order the materials. Depending on my work-load, if the kilt-cloth is available ex stock then the kilt will likely be ready for pickup within 3 weeks from order.

Kilt cloth cannot be returned to the mill, whether cut from the piece OR custom-woven. You must be utterly sure before placing your order.

Custom-woven cloth:
Most cloth mills will only weave what they believe will sell within a certain period. If you can’t find the tartan you want then you can either order a ‘Full Piece” – which is generally 54” wide and at least 30 yards long – or go without.

I am very fortunate to do business with the firm of DC Dalgliesh, a custom weaver who to date has woven anything I have asked him to, and whose minimum order is only 4 yards of cloth!

Depending on the weaver’s workload, custom orders can take up to 7 weeks from time of order. It is well worth the wait, as the quality of this custom cloth is by far the best in the industry.

Measuring:
I only work from measurements that I have taken myself because part of my service to you is ensuring an absolute proper fit. If you live outside of the Greater Vancouver Area we'll have to work something out.

For example, I had one customer from Scotland who pre-ordered his kilt-cloth so that it was on hand when he arrived in Vancouver. I measured him, we agreed upon the particulars (pleated to the sett, etc) and he left for a snowmobile holiday in the Interior. He picked up his completed kilt on his way back though Vancouver to return to Scotland,

Payment Method:
I accept payment by cash, cheque or PayPal. Payment is due before the kilt leaves my shop.
